  • ONLY board member to vote AGAINST taking away free town-wide recycling

  • Stood up for neighborhoods when the Town Board was approached to create projects not in the wider public interests

Parks and Recreation Leadership

  • Delivered on campaign promise to bring a skatepark to Perinton. Will be completed late fall 2023

  • Approved park amenities that grow with families and have activities for tweens such as disc golf

  • Successfully advocated for opening park bathrooms earlier in the year.

  • Led initiative for new sibling discount program - already used by a record number of Perinton families for summer day camps

  • More free special recreation programs for children

  • Improve the online registration and communication process for rec center classes

  • Liaison to the Parks and Rec Advisory Board for four years


Accessibility

  • Voted to partner with Rochester Accessible Adventures to perform a town-wide accessibility and inclusion audit.

  • Consults with Abilities Movement to learn how Perinton can better serve individuals with disabilities

  • Increased transparency and availability of the Perinton Scholarship Fund - helping more families participate in recreation programs regardless of income limitations

  • Regularly uses a variety of social media sites to engage residents, including youth, in town decision making

  • Expanded services to local senior citizens including drive-up lunches and the COVID-19 Senior Helpline
